Hospital located in southern California is in need of a Pediatric Emergency Room travel nurses starting 6-14 for 13 week assignments.
All candidates must have 1 year of pedi ER triage experience or 2 years adult ER triage, EPIC experience is highly desired and shifts are D/N rotation.
All candidates must also have BLS/PALS certifications and at least two years of previous travel experience.
Under general direction of a Director/Mgr/TL, the ER RN is responsible for applying the nursing process in the care of patients ranging from infant to adults.
Plans and administers patient care according to patient needs, established standards of care, and ECC .CHHC policies and procedures.
Travel nurse must perform accurate and complete triage assessments, comprehensive physical and emotional needs and reassessments as indicated.

No AZ license required since this is a Federal facility.
Any State license will suffice.
This is a 12 bed Inpatient Peds unit.
Nurse/patient ratio 1-6.
Shifts consist of 80 hours every 2 weeks.
Nights 1900-0730, Days 0700-1930.
3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week.
3 day orientation provided.
2 years experience is required, as well as BCLS and PALS.

Travel Nurse is responsible for applying the nursing process in the care of patients ranging from neonates to adults.
Plans and administers patient care according to patient needs, established standards of care, and PICU policies and procedures.
Travel nurse will also be responsible for: assessing and caring for patients requiring continuous monitoring and invasive procedures.
Assessing for appropriate development for age.
Assessing the patient’s condition and nursing needs in relation to ventilator management/specialized gasses.
Common injuries and illnesses treated in the CCU include: Respiratory failure (asthma, pneumonia, etc) Shock (sepsis, dehydration, etc) Multi-organ system failure, Poisonings, near drowning, Meningitis, Post-operative cardiac surgical care (2-3 days post,) Post-operative neurosurgical care.
