Travel nursing and your hobbies
Jul 18th, 2008 | By Jeff | Category: Travel Nursing FunAs you all are well aware, nursing can be a very stressful profession, which makes it so important to have at least one outside interest you can escape to. The beauty of travel nursing is that there are a lot of great hobbies out there make it a great career option for nurses.
Here are just a few hobbies, interests or passions that go great with travel nursing:
- Running
- Photography
- Historian
- Genealogy
- Writing
- Mountain Biking
- Antiquing
- Hiking
- Roller Coaster Chasing
- Shopping
- Following your favorite band
- Hunting
- Fishing
- Watching your favorite pro sports team
Basically, travel nursing can give you a lot more access to anything you are an aficionado of, whether it is visiting wine country, attending county fairs or seeing every lighthouse in the country. The choices are endless. What would you add? What hobbies have you been able to enjoy more as a travel nurse?

I do many of the activities you listed in your post. I take my photography very seriously and have sued some of my hard-earned travel nurse money to invest in a good digital camera. So when I’m done with photography, I can scrapbook about my travels. There are some great downloadable scrap booking tools and even some available online. Gotta keep hold of those great travel nurse memories, right??
That’s great Yvonne. Those travel nursing memories are way to important to not document. What are your favorite sites for scrapbooking?
