NurseAuction.com looks to capitalize on nursing shortage
Apr 4th, 2008 | By Jeff | Category: Nursing in generalIn an intriuging way to address the nursing shortage a new site called NurseAuction.com has launched. It is an interesting concept where the site, which is free, allows nurses to bid on shifts and shift owners to bid on nurses in a “stock exchange” like market. I commented on this on a post at PixelRN.comif you want to read it, but basically I think commoditizes the nurse and takes away the personal touch and back up that a Recruiter can provide you when are on assignment at a strange place. I know this entire industry is based on supply and demand but in the end to me it comes down to people and relationships and this seems to be taking that aspect away.
