I have now made it safely back to the Omaha area from my trip home, and I have learned a little bit more about the airline industry. US Airways not only charges for your luggage but for drinks and snacks on the flight. A soda or juice on the flight cost $2, while alcoholic beverages cost $7. Snacks on the flight were a few dollars depending on what you wanted. Therefore, I recommend you buy something to drink or eat in the airport while waiting for your flight when flying to your next travel nursing assignment or home for the holidays. Another option is making sure you eat before you go to the airport or pack a few snacks in your bag to hold you over until you reach your destination. Safe travels!
